Pitkin County will help you pay for weed control! Pitkin County has funds to help landowners pay for the
material costs of weed control. The program is open to all landowners in unincorporated Pitkin County. Funds are given on a reimbursement basis, and you must apply by one of the two application deadlines (July 16 and November 5) to be considered for funds. Application forms and details are available online at:
http://www.aspenpitkin.com/weeds An on-site visit from the County Land Manager is required before an application will be considered.
Reimbursements will be made as follows:
50% of invoiced cost for those who hire a commercial applicator:
75% of material costs for those to do the work themselves.

Additionally, you can receive a $20 gift card to Eagle Crest Nursery, Planted Earth, or Crystal Gardens, in exchange for your trash bag full of any of the following noxious weeds:

Dames Rocket
Limit 2 per person. You must be a Pitkin County resident. Bring weeds to the Pitkin County Public Works building or Landfill. This effort is sponsored by Pitkin County Open Space & Trails.
